AVA's Destiny
AVA's destiny is a game made for the GMTK game jam 2020. The theme for the jam is Out of Control.
In the year 2047, a robot facility in the once-bustling city of Los Angeles has taken a dark turn.
Mechanika Inc, much sought after for its android soldiers, was to be the sole hope for the US army. However, a few failed experiments later, funds from the government slowly dried up, and Mechanika looked for help from questionable sources and the controversial CyberDyne corporation now exercised control over Mechanika’s employees and blueprints.
Tired of the mistreatment by sub-par scientists, AVA - a service robot with no rotational direction has gained sentience and secretly built a set of directional plates to overcome her flaw. With the help of a stolen gun and one objective planted firmly in mind – to take out the corrupted head of Mechanika, will a simple service bot be able to overcome an army of advanced killing robots?
Controls:
WASD: move
SPACE: shoot
ROTATE: step on plates

Great mechanic! Also. really challenging as I couldn't get past the 2nd wave. Love the soundtrack
Thanks for playing the game and your comment :-)
Really cool little game! I like that the main mechanic makes it hard to just move in circles so this endless shooter plays out differently. Great idea and the music is fitting. It does ramp up the difficulty really fast though! Great job! :)
Thanks so much! We're glad you liked it :D
Fun and creative game! Really liked it despite not being able to go through 2 waves hahaha
Thanks for playing! Appreciate it :)
